The small town of Ravangla in Sikkim, nestled at an altitude of 7000 ft., has lately emerged as a natural tourist retreat, offering majestic snow view. The town which is located in South Sikkim District is an ideal location for village tourism. Admired with towering snowy mountains, exotic flora and fauna, scenic tea gardens, age-old monasteries and welcoming villages, it is gradually becoming a tourist hotspot. Trekking routes to Maenam Hill and Tendong Hill also originate from Ravangla and nearby areas.

Best time to visit : You can visit Ravangla at any time of the year. However, you can avoid the rainy season for landslides are frequent at that time. Summer is pleasant and winter, though chilly is enjoyable.

Ravangla is accessible from all prime spots of Sikkim, which include Gangtok, Pelling and Namchi. It can also be reached from Darjeling. The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. You would get rented cars from the New Jalpaiguri Station to Ravangla. You can also get rented cars from Siliguri and Bagdogra.
